A Voice in Shaping Our Parish Mission
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is an important body of consultation, collaboration and shared responsibility within parish life. In keeping with the pastoral vision and guidelines of the Diocese of Maitland–Newcastle, the Council works closely with the Parish Priest/Administrator in discerning the pastoral needs, priorities and future direction of the parish.
Serving Our Two Communities
At Divine Mercy Parish Wallsend–Shortland, the PPC represents and serves our two worshipping communities of St Patrick’s, Wallsend, and Our Lady of Victories, Shortland. Through prayer, listening, consultation and pastoral planning, its members seek to strengthen parish life, encourage greater participation, support our ministries and schools, and help our parish grow as a welcoming, vibrant and missionary Catholic community centred on Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

The Council provides a valuable forum where the gifts, experiences and voices of parishioners can contribute to shaping the present and future mission of Divine Mercy Parish.
