About Our Church

A Welcoming Community of Faith, Hope & Mercy

Divine Mercy Parish – Wallsend & Shortland is a welcoming Catholic community bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds across Newcastle. United by our faith in Jesus Christ, we seek to grow closer to Him through the Eucharist, prayer, the Sacraments and life in our parish community.

OUR MISSION

To share God's mercy and love with everyone in Wallsend and Shortland — nurturing faith, building community, and serving those in need.

OUR VISION

A parish family united in Christ, where everyone feels welcomed, grows in faith, and is inspired to live out God's mercy each day.
